Aluminium Min Max Thermometer 22cm

First one was faulty, could not be rectified. Company did not argue and sent out replacement at no extra cost. this works fine for now.

Well made, accurate and does reset.
When it arrived it was all shaken up but the leaflet has clear instructions for correcting this.

A first class product, and much better than a digital thermometer. The nearest thing I could find that resembles the min/max thermometer my late Dad had in his greenhouse.

Bought this as I needed a max/min outdoor thermometer that does not require batteries and has no plastic......works great so far.

The thermometer arrived well package. As with other reviews the liquid was separated however this was easily resolved by following the instructions. A nice robust product that will last.

Unfortunately when i received the thermometer the pin on the minimum side would not rest at minimum temperature but sat at the bottom of the coloured liquid. Also, the coloured liquid was separated a little on the max side.
However, Kerry at customer service was great and sent detailed instructions including a very helpful video to fix the problems. So now the thermometer is working fine. However, I have other traditional max-min thermometers that have worked faultlessly for decades so I am not confident this thermometer won't need attention in the future which is why I only give it 3 stars.
I would suggest the company reviews how the goods are packed because it is evident this instrument is more fragile than conventional; types.

The thermometer doe not register max/min temperatures. I have received a very detailed e-mail about how to rectify the problem of the liquid thread being broken but the this is not problem with our thermometer. The pins move with the meniscus of the liquid and do not remain in position to register max/min temperatures.

My sister asked for this for her birthday present and was delighted with it. She wanted an old fashioned model, not digital, for her newly revamped garden. Thank you.

I bought two of these thermometers, which were delivered undamaged without problem. However, when one was hung up (I laid the other horizontally as no hanging facility was available in the required position), the max/min markers do not hold their position, so no record of them is available. I have received a replacement thermometer (thank you, Kerry), but this also does not hold the marker position when vertical. Neither does the one I initially laid horizontally. I shall be ringing to request a refund for these items as they are not fit for purpose.

I wanted a thermometer which registered the minimum and maximum temperatures over a period of time. This does the trick very well. Thank you.

while this looks good, it is somewhat hard to read. the indicators tend to 'slip'
and the fluid has lost most of it's colour, only had it a few weeks. so rather disapointed considering the price.

Liquid separate in post, need strong magnet and a lot of patience and skills to sort it out. Finally got it working by swinging the thermometer at the end of a string! But then metal markers went right to the bottom and magnet could not get them back... so shook it the other way to get markers back, but liquid separated again. Eventually got it working, but minimum marker seems to drop down rather than staying to lower t'. Rather tricky...

I have had one of these for several years with no problem, unlike other well known brands where the indicator fluid fades to unreadable, irretrievably separates, or dissapears ! I now have two more.

First product was faulty, fragmented coloured liquid. Replacement arrived with same issue. Don't know if it's a qc issue with the stockist or it's simply too fragile to ship. Replacement/refund very efficient though.

Easy to fix to a post with two screws so secure and doesn't twist. Does just what expected and is easy to read. A good sturdy product. Thank you

Impressed when I unpacked the thermometer but disappointed that, despite following instructions and having had advice from a help enquiry, the thermometer does not work as described. The orange fluid was separated on receipt and continues to be so..
Will be seeking a replacement or refund in due course

We were looking for a traditional (not digital) min-max thermometer so pleased to find this. But when they arrived (we'd bought two) the liquid had separated in transit and there was no correlation in the two min-max readings. Although the enclosed manufacturer's instructions explained how to bring the liquid together, within a few hours it separated again, despite being kept upright and not moved, the markers were all over the place and, again, the two readings didn't match. The supplier eventually issued a refund.

Having had several less expensive ( plastic) max min thermometers from a well known brand, which have proved poor, lasting only a couple of years before becoming useless, this German made offering appears to be substantially better made. Perhaps I should review after a couple of years ? Excellent, fast service from Thermometer Specialist.

Lovely thermometer for my greenhouse, much better than the digital one I had before.

Very nicely made - sturdy and quality materials - exactly what I was after. Good size so easy to read and well sized reset button. Too many years with a cheap flimsy one delighted with this more robust one.
